Do you have any suggestions for junior employees with little experience? In my experience, it is much easier to be assertive when you have some experience.
Great point Benedikt! As a junior employee, I would focus on building relationships with more senior product managers to form a point of view on key issues. I would also be sure to document discussions /decisions to have reference facts. Finally, I'd reflect on my boundaries and my observations of others being assertive.

Oh yes, these are great ideas. On thing that came to my mind are regional meetups or other Communities of Practice to build up a network.
