As someone who proudly mastered that skill, I would like to emphasize the point “Looping Back”! Convincing the other person situationally can backfire, because in the aftermath, facts suddenly become apparent that undermine your persuasion or make the other person feel misunderstood!!!!

The phrase "influencing without authority" is very interesting.

Jori’s emphasis on storytelling as the cornerstone of this skill is eye opening, as crafting a narrative that aligns diverse teams is - how I understood it - about creating shared purpose.

What struck me most is Jori’s insight into the "yes, and" mindset borrowed from improv. Very cool!
