What Prompted this Article?

This article started with my daughter trying a new cookie recipe. As she mixed the ingredients, she said “Close your eyes and aim with your heart”. She went with her intuition about how the cookies would turn out. The cookies were delicious!

Like my daughter, we have many choices in product management work and ways to turn out good products. There are many frameworks (recipes) to choose from as we go after product initiatives.

I read articles daily about the value of data-driven decision-making in product management. Is there room for intuition in product management?
