The redefinition of Builder PMs who reduce uncertainty before alignment resonates with themes. Product explainability for AI-mediated discovery is particularly fascinating - we're optimizing for AI evaluators now, not just human decision-makers. I hope these hold true. I’ve built my own career adjustments around being able to follow most of this. In hopes to find a good fit with a company who’s looking for these things.

Great point, Mike. It will be interesting to see if job descriptions and hiring managers look for builder PMs, discoverable product knowledge and skills in dealing with ambiguity.

Whether you are a product manager in a small or large organization, I urge PMs to take action instead of waiting. If taking action feels unwelcome, then the next best thing is creating your point of view on next steps and see if anyone says no or suggests adjustments. You'll either find out what to adjust or you'll get support.
