What happened after writing a recent Product Management IRL article? These insights are for premium subscribers to Product Management IRL.
This week’s backstory is about which corner cases need product management attention:
What Prompted this Article?
I’m a product manager who worries too much about product quality. Most of my product worries are “corner cases” that rarely occur. My over-worrying comes out in requirements documents.
Before writing this article, I had 20 complete requirements to check against acceptance criteria. I caught myself worrying that some of the requirements weren’t complete.
I used the criteria in this article to decide if the corner cases had any risk.
None of my requirements concerns fit these corner cases. I probably had nothing to worry about.
